Background & approach
Background & approach
Originally from France, I moved to the UK in 2009, where I began a journey that led me from accounting to a fulfilling career in healthcare. After transitioning to the healthcare sector, I pursued an MSc in Psychology, which opened the door to my work in mental health and wellbeing research at a local university, where I also collaborate closely with the NHS.
Following my studies, I trained as a counsellor—a passion that has deeply influenced my life. I now balance my research and counselling roles, finding that each enhances and informs the other. My approach to counselling is humanistic integrative, with a strong focus on person-centred therapy. This approach places you at the heart of the therapeutic process, emphasising empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine understanding. The aim is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel fully accepted, allowing you to explore their thoughts and feelings openly. While person-centred therapy forms the core of my practice, I also integrate various tools and techniques to address the unique needs of each person, offering a flexible and compassionate approach to therapy.
In addition to my practice, I completed Bereavement Support Foundation training (BSF), which provided me with practical skills and theoretical knowledge to support people who are bereaved. I also undertook counselling supervision training, further enhancing my ability to support those navigating challenging life experiences.
Process and fees
1- Initial Chat: Once you reach out, we’ll arrange a free 30-minute conversation over Google Meet or via telephone. This chat serves several purposes:
-I will explain my approach to therapy, including how I work.
-We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy to ensure we’re a good fit for one another. This is a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings.
2- Follow-Up: After our conversation, I will email you a WORKING AGREEMENT form that outlines our agreement and the framework for our work together. Along with the contract, you will receive a questionnaire designed to gather more information about your background and specific needs.
3- Booking our first session: If you are happy to go ahead, once you signed and returned the WORKING AGREEMENT, we can schedule our first session. This step ensures that I have the necessary context to provide tailored support from the very beginning.
The fee per session is £50.
